Presentation Week 4

My Theme for this project is based of the Atea brief. My theme for this brief is weird places to meet people. I Developed the theme from the idea of meeting places, but wanted to create an interesting twist on the idea.

My Artist models for this idea is Robert Polidori. Polidori is a photographer of human environment and habits. He usually creates large colour shot that captures the past and the present.

I like how in this particular series of photographs feels like the space is abandoned, but someone just left, or is still occupying the space. I wanted to capture this feeling in my own work. The idea that the space is abadoned or empty but there still a feeling that there is life in the space.

My second artist model is Stephen Shore. Shore uses documentary techniques to capture places that are unimportant, this imbues the space with an importance that if you were actually standing in the space it would not have. By capturing the space in this way Shore makes the space important. This can be seen in these photographs,

I have tried to capture this idea in my own work through these photographs.
